Fact or fiction?

Rumor I heard around campus was that a certain undergrad from Sacto pulled more ass than a toilet seat in the USF Dutch Anderson dougout in the late 80s/ early 90s. In fact one alum claimed half the girls from Daly City lost their virginity "at the point." Care to respond, Doctor?

only got to 2nd base on the ballfield; phelan hall was my kingdom.

that dugout didnt exist way back; then it was a long warped bench with no cover.

You screwed women in Phelan Hall? You sir are no gentleman!

I've got one Sharks ticket for this Saturday night at 7:00. Anyone who claims it must attend with an 8-year old, a 6-year old and their grouchy dad.

Get your playoff groove on with a warmup victory over the Kings.

I will be in AZ at spring training. Cubs Saturday, Giants Sunday. A 40 yo. Right hander coming out of the bullpen is just what one of these teams need.

btw CNBC is in full crisis mode with damage control efforts on Good Morning America this AM. If you haven't seen the lame attempt of Cramer trying to defend his recommendations, Google Cramer Jon Stewart.

This matters to me bc it's so similar to the press failure leading up to the Iraq war. Except Stewart is calling the network on it and they are squirming big time.

At the risk of sounding too dramatic, democracy requires a free press which asks tough questions to those in power. Instead we have personalities in the media who cracenly request access and favor from those in power. It is disgraceful, unmanly and damaging.

and in even more important news, Holland just defeated and eliminated the Domenican Republic in the WOrld Baseball Classic. Harold Reynolds called it one of the biggest upsets in sports history. He then sexually harassed another female collegue.

Notes on the shocking victory by the Dutch...Sidney Ponson pitched for Holland. Yes, THAT Sidney Ponson.

Did you see last night's Daily Show? The beat goes on...

Sydney Ponson? I would have bet he was five hundred pounds by now.

I've been revisiting the early 90's with Sonic Youth, the Pixies and The Jesus Lizard, and I'm surprised by how good the JL sound- I had sorta written them off as a great live band that math-rocked chunky anti-melodic thug tunes into the ground, but that's way off. Goat and Liar rock, period. And they're funny, which Sonich Youth decidedly is not.

People love Daydream Nation, but I still can't embrace it. Give me EVOL or Sister any day.

The Pixies didn't get their dues while living and now they're overrated in death. Great records, though.

Yes I did see Daily Show and Cramers show. There's a war on. It's way over due.

Agree on all musical points. Mouthbreather is one song by JL I particularly loved.

By the way...anyone following the car wreck that is the 2009 Golden State Warriors? Wow.

Yea, I always remembered Mouth Breather, but I was surprised by how many strong songs were on each of those albums.

I have followed the Warriors all year and I still enjoy watching them play. I like a number of the players. I honestly do not believe they are that far away. If management does not completely screw it up; if they can stay healthy; if they can package Crawford and a young up and comer for a power forward, they can compete for the playoffs next year. Oh, and if Monte returns to form.

All big ifs.

I love that genuine look of hurt on Cramer's face as he makes his tour of the family studios. He looks like he's about to cry. My pleasure in his suffering is the justice element in schadenfreude, of course. Justice. Yes.

Yes, the Warriors need a power forward (and a true point guard). But remind me of what year it is? 2009? 2004? 1999? And do you think Nelson appreciates these needs?

The organization is doomed NOT bc of the players. Its not their fault there is a bottleneck of shooting gaurds and small forwards. Its management and a discredited small ball philosophy.

I agree that in theory the Dubs are not that far away. In reality, though, they are as far as away as ever. In fact they are reverting back to their dismal mean.

Look, we've had this conversation before- the W's made the playoffs two years ago and went 48-34 last year. Letting Baron go hurt the team for a variety of reasons, and nobody expected Monte to go down. I know that you believe you should only build for a championship, and I can't really argue with that. But they sell out the Coliseum night after night by putting an entertaining (in the eyes of the beholder, I'll grant you) product on the court the past few years.

They may be reverting back- I can't read the future. I see a far more talented bunch now than in earlier years, and they are two right-fit players and a Randolph-quantum leap from competing for the 7th or 8th spot, in my humble opinion.

We shall see. Sorry, class has arrived. Wannna come teach it? I'm bored with 'em.

I hate children, you know that.

Answer me this...is it enough they are entertaining? No judgement, just asking. If it's not, then it seems obvious the lack of a pf the past 10 years and small ball is what it must always come back too.

Also I have to come clean.... I love power forwards and point guards. Shooting guards and forwards are a dime a dozen and bore me unless their last name is Jordan or Erving.
