Save Your Pennies

Threshold Editions announced that they will publish Karl Rove's 592-page memoir, "Courage and Consequence" on March 9, 2010.

The political strategist helped elect President George W. Bush and served as White House deputy chief of staff in Bush's administration. His book promises to "set the record straight on those controversial years"--a popular theme with former Bush staffers. In 2011, both Bush and former Vice President Dick Cheney will publish their own memoirs. Cheney has already promised to reveal the "heated arguments" behind the scenes at the White House.

Threshold editor-in-chief Mary Matalin had this statement: "Karl has always been in a league of his own in the world of electoral politics and now he creates a unique genre for historians, policy makers, political junkies and serious readers."

I dont know what to say other than a) one of the biggest disappointments of the Obama administration is not to try to put Rove, Cheney etc up on charges. The message is "there are no consequences for breaking the law bc if we did hold you accountable, I might end up in trouble when I break the law."
b) the GOP continues to dig itself into a bigger and bigger hole as all of the car wreck names associated with the Bushies and crazy Right continue to be the only face of the party. Dems will win by default if this continues.

and Lincecum wins another Cy Young- I wouldn't have voted for him but hey, the Bay Area needs anything it can get.

Coming soon, Tim Lincecum to the New York Yankees.... Or never arriving, a power hitting OF via trade. All of the Giants money just got sucked out of their wallets.

Indignation.
Outrage.
Disgust.
Revulsion.

Do you sit down feeling this way or is this the only key you sing in? Is everyone really this awful? Really?

I just came from a wealth management conference where I endured a steady barage of right wing wing chatter and pro-China crap. I hear this shit all the time. Today it was served up by Sir John Majors, David Gergen and some small private equity creep.

And then I come home to the Warriors.

And you ask me about Indignation, Outrage, Disgust and Revulsion?

Seriously?

The Warriors played great last night. The Sharks were amazing. Heatly hat trick. Thornton with four assists and they dominate the hottest team in hockey, 6-3. The Sharks have played most of their games on the road (they're 7-0-2 at home) and they're still the best team in hockey.

I went to The Trappist last night and the new room is fantastic. The place was packed and the ambience was wonderful. The two new Green Flash beers were delectable. My Chinese food was lekker.

Small Private Equity Creeps should be a band name.

Wealth Management Conference- individual or national? I need a Wealth Accumulation Seminar, but I'd probably fail it.

What are you doing for the Big Game?
