Man, what can you say? This was sooooo long in coming. When I think about all the good times. All of the heartbreak and disappointment. All of the great players. And now it FINALLY ends with a World Series win.
I dig this team. 4 great starting pitching. All young. All through the system. The way it should be. And then Buster Posey. And the cast offs no superstar position players who just find a way.
another two games might have killed me, and that's discounting the stress. We've had or been at parties for almost all of these games, and folks be going hard. Are you hitting the parade tomorrow? We originally planned to go but now it's looking unlikely. Lars broke his arm and now it's screwed up and he requires an operation that's gonna keep the cast on an extra six weeks- not to mention that the cast is soaked after his friend poured "champagne" over his head (water, actually) and saturated the damn thing. Kinda cute, and kinda annoying. No adult supervision to be found. My living room looked like a frat basement this morning, and I look like a hobo. Just had some Panda Express, lunch of WORLD CHAMPIONS.
Boys I hope you partied hard on this night. I certainly did. The world series win was coinciding with Melbourne Cup day, the biggest horse race in the country that stops the nation. I was at a Melbourne Cup party and got drunk lost my money gambling, but had a smile on my face for all my friends in the bay area. Enjoy! They don't come around too often.
