A Burning, Bitter Bastard

Another night, another brew. This is a deeply hoppy beer with a lot of personality. A mouthful really with a bitter almost burning aftertaste which remains in your mouth long after you take a sip. I can almost imagine the horrendous hangover several of these produce the next day. And God help you if you were smoking. Actually, Arrogant Bastard is a damn fine brew. Its just that I'm not a disciplined enough drinker to have just one and avoid the next morning's pain which would come from 8 of these....And that's why I also bought a sixer of Inbev (formerly Bud) Light. See you on the other side.

hEY Tony, will you get mad at me if I say that this is not a hoppy brew? It's just not. I enjoy it, but it's heavier on the malts in its dark ale thangiesness, dig my brew nerd terminology.

And instead of InBev, what's wrong with Heineken?

what's the difference between malts and hops from a taste perspective.

I got really drunk last nite and I am now on a flight to Chicago for back to back 40th birthday parties. It's totally dehydrating on this flight, my mouth is like a desert and my head is screaming. Thankfully I have the whole row to myself.

I find myself short tempered and grouchy when I am hungover. It's gotten worse with age. My bowels also get real loose. I feel like I can share these things with you all.

Are we on for practice next week? Or are we recording?

Have you looked at the Sgarks record lately? It's silly. The Giants signing of Renteria makes me yawn. Why not just sign Mark Texeira or whatever and get on with it? We need power!

The stewardess looks like a tramp. I think she was slurping wine at her Burlingame hotel last night and later responded positively when some 48 year old project manager made a pass at her. Tramp.

Gotta go.
