The Trappist is advertising 13% beer on its web site. Can you ladies handle that? I can. Put on your skirts and meet me at the spot on Friday circa 4:30 PM.

I am trying to help my sister avoid the fate of mid level UC schools (Irvine, SB) which have clearly undermined the professional careers of many young people. Just so you know, my sister was early accepted by The Vine.

So put that in your hash pipe and smoke it, Anteater.

When I was 17 I initially wanted to go to Northwestern. I visited the campus and loved it (and on the same trip visited Notre Dame). They make you apply directly to the college you want to attend and I applied to the Medill School of Journalism, the best one in the country (at the time, not sure if it still is). I was devastated when I didn't get in, as I was completely sure I would. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I still regret not applying to the divinity school or something and then simply transferring as someone who went there later told me was common. That said, I regret not going to Berkeley or UCLA, though my post collegiate financial loan burden is probably different from what your sister will have. $330 a month for the last 10 years, with 8 more years to go!!! I am going to encourage my children to go to UCs.

regrets...I've had a few.

Christ, that's tough. My dad thankfully sold his vacation house a few years ago in anticipation of the bill from NW or some school like it.

This conversation depresses me. Beers in 6 hours!

I had fun Friday night. First time in awhile I got drunk with you clowns. Unfortunately, I've been spending the rest of this weekend shivering with a runny nose, aches, pains and a fever. Goddamn it to hell!

yea, good times- took me over an hour to put all the Eddie Money and Tom Petty records away. Johnny Paycheck!

Sorry to hear you're sick- Amy woke up last night with an ear infection so I'm down another six hours sleep.

The relentless march of trouble...

can't believe Im saying it but the whole U2, Stevie Wonder, MLK Day, "a historic moment" non stop network chatter has worn on me. Wake me up a 100 days or better yet a year from now when the media hysteria has died down and we can talk about Obama's record. Until then I am going to avoid MSNBC like the plague. Keith Olberman, et al are as bad as O'Reilly and Hannity. Sheesh!

How about Dr Strangelove, we Chaney leaving in a wheel chair? Just too perfect.
