Stirring the pot

Am i crazy or is this song pretty good?
I could be nuts. I had little dinner, 5 Speakeasy Big Daddys and I'm about to bust out the whiskey.

All I want to do is listen to Dr. Demento sing song ding dong novelty music. Looking at these playlists from the 70s, he was playing some of my favorite stuff; Bonzo Dog Band, Holy Modal Rounders, check out this one with Devo live in the studio 1977

Do you guys like Brian Glaze? He has been changing up his game a lot recently. I think he went to Ken's school. His new style is just cracking me up. Listen to "Leader of the Band", "Shake Shiloh" and "Violence Within" at that link. I just bought the record, can't wait. A sweaty bummerific Pet Shop Boys LA "Less Than Zero" evening without any of the more nefarious associative elements awaits.

I have been trying for hours, but the Gonerfest streaming thing isn't working.

Here's a Soulseek rape scene

Sanford Clark!! Watch the video, pretty cool.

"We're like Lollipops and Caviar":

Oh Hey, check this out. Another exclusive exclusive world premiere right here on Hacking at Slop:

why does "bust out the whiskey" sound sexy to me? I just went to a birthday dinner in North Beach and my face hurts from fake smiling. I'm very tired of fake smiling. I'd like to do the genuine variety in a normal bar, but alas, well, alas. Why am I the oldest guy at every event, and yet no one knows who the Oblivians are? I find this distressing. When I say I am a teacher I can see that look. Do you know that look? It's the look of fake smile? The next word out of their mouth will inevitably be something close to "noble." That's when I order the whiskey.

I told you that new Morrissey album was good. Why doesn't anybody ever believe me when I am always right?

Why do I get the feeling that Sanford Clark would be cooler in a crisis that me?

my problem with most modern attempts at glam is that protools don't swing. Mark Bolan put the roll in his rock, but mixing disco drumbeats with glammy swagger ruins it for me. Then again, I just listened to those Glaze songs once, but they didn't make me want to do blow off a stripper's taut stomach, which is my test for great glam. Then again, I could just be cranky- Cal gets blown out, the Giants are out of it, the Niners lose a heartbreaker to everybody's fave drama queen, my son's game gets canceled, I serve time at another boring dinner party, blah blah blah.

Is 4:00 to early for a Sunday beer? I didn't think so.

ya know, 20 years ago would anybody have predicted that Morrissey might age well? And yet look at the video- the man is comfortable in his own skin. Receding hairline and greying, he's seemingly fuck all about it all and purty damn funny to boot. Perhaps that's because he has ready and willing twentysomething bandmates at his beck and call when the song is done, but the man has had an amazing career and what the hell do I know, but he seems somehow content, a word nobody would have put within a hundred yards of his name in the old days.

I need to get the hell out of the house. Clearly.

I am really trying to be a more responsible man of late. I drink a lot less. I call family members and ask how they are doing. I do chores without asking. I run more often and have gas less.

And then in one game Cal brings me back to my worse habits. Cal football is toxic. It made me drink whiskey and beer in a dark No Beach bar on a beautiful day. Their play made me curse and smoke cigarettes. My wife was not pleased when I came home. I did not have my "A" game for the dinner we had that night. The sofa was hard and uncomfortable.

I cant quit rooting for the local college football team, bc I love college football and there is no fucking way I am ever rooting for Stanford. That said, I am going to try to just be more blase about it all and not get so wrapped up in it. Bc clearly this team is destined to fuck up every big chance they get.

Goddamn it!
