Dr., where are you? Where are we drinking? Are we eating goat or lamb? Talk to me!

Bradley has a birthday coming up, and I'm going to boycott it if he doesn't end this hermit crap

Go Bears, I guess

once again I'm left with the feeling Democrats don't know how to attack. I hope this doesn't cost us again.

Ken, do you think Brad is at burning man?

Anonymous said...

yea, he's the title character

Speeches-

Michelle- maybe it was no expectations, but she was fantastic- note perfect

Hillary- she's come a long way, and she did what needed doing

Bill- not as rousing a performance as I've seen from him, but given the past few months, he said what he had to

Biden- horrible cadence- just didn't nail any of the lines because he never found a rhythm- nice moment with mom, though

One programming note- Keith Olberman is as blatant a partisan as Sean Hannity, but that woman they have debating Crazy Pat has been terrific- the two of them deserve their own show

Agree with Olberman comment completely. He has lost his intelligent ex sports guy rep and is now a hack just like the rest of them. I even heard him refer to the Democrats as "we."

That woman's name is Rachel Maddow. She is my favorite jewish lesbian of all time. Her and Crazy Pat are priceless. And do you see Crazy Pat's glasses last night? One of the weirdest things I have seen on TV in YEARS. Love that guy.

Biden was rough, but I think out on the trail he will be great. I also have to say his story and personality seems like an authentic white blue collar thing. We havent had that at this level in decades, and I love it. Also looking forward to Biden going head to head with who ever McSame picks as his VP. Like lambs to the wolves.

I keep hearing that Biden is a terrific debater, but the 7-candidate format didn't highlight that fact. I'd love to see him against Romney, but does anyone care about the VP debate?

I liked how when Biden mentioned his mom told him to bloody the noses of the big boys who beat him up, she turned to somebody and said, "That's true." Parents today call their attorneys and shrinks.

I think so. I can still remember Dan Quayle being humiliated on TV when Lloyd Benson dropped "you're no Jack Kennedy" on him.

More to the point, I like Joe Biden's chances convincing laid off auto workers in Michigan to vote for Obama. I like Joe going to Ohio and Penn. and letting people see he is 65 yo with a son in Iraq and net worth of just $150K and that his background is 100% blue collar.

When I think about politics over the past 30-40 years, I can see that its that blue collar crowd who decides elections in this country..... Nixon peeling off whites from post civil rights Democrats, Reagan Democrats, Bill Clinton exposing George Bush Sr.s cluelessness of how much milk costs at the supermarket, and Gore/Kerry's pussy footing when it came to responding to the Rove attacks and soft on terror bs.

You've got to sell it in Scranton or you lose. Period. Biden cleans up here, I think.

yea, but Daddy Bush won anyway

I'll put Joe turning on laid off workers to Barack in the wishful thinking, as in I hope you're right. In the end, though, folks vote for presidents, not vice presidents. Call me wounded and afraid to believe.

I've been hurt before, you know

Not sure who youre refering to about Daddy Bush. Daddy Bush beat Dukakis for the reasons stated above. Daddy Bush got pummeled by Clinton also for the reasons above.

I know I'm risking being disappointed. But I really think we can win here if we fight. Agree that evetually its all up to Barack.

only saying that Bentsen's destruction of Baby Quayle in the vice presidential debate didn't change the the election outcome in the debate victor's favor

Did Al have a strict time limit? The language and content of his speech was terrific, but man he was rushing...

lost a few pounds, though, and that's what matters

wonderful- we've all seen enough speakers to know how difficult it is to do what he just did. Of course he promised too much, but he hit hard too, and he radiated confidence and competence and inspiration.

That was as good as you can possibly hope. Funny, my first thought was of the Republicans. John McCain better bring his A fucking game cause Obama just raised the bar REALLY REALLY high. And if McCain announces tomorrow that his VP is Romney or Pawletty...how friggin lame.

Obama's fire surprised me. I've never seen that from him. Lets hope he keeps it up. Debates will be really interesting.

so is the choice of Palin just Rove throwing a bone at grieving Hillary supporters?

Anonymous said...

I dont get that. Is Palin's appeal to Hillary supporters simply that she has a vagina? The two share no similarities when it comes to issues. WTF? What were these folks supporting Hillary for in the first place? It appears not ideas.

Because she eats moose-burgers, hunts from a snowmobile, and believes God created the world six thousand years ago with Adam and Eve frolicking in the Garden. I now change my mind- the VP debate will be fine political theater
